NO.1 —Inner Mongolia Museum

The Inner Mongolia Museum is the only comprehensive museum at the autonomous region level in the region and one of the earliest museums established in ethnic minority areas nationwide. With a main building area of ​​64,000 square meters and an exhibition area of ​​15,000 square meters, it is a national first-class museum.

The museum currently holds a collection of 150,455 items, encompassing historical relics from the Paleolithic Age to the Ming and Qing dynasties, modern and contemporary revolutionary artifacts, ethnic and folk artifacts, paleontological fossils, and modern biological specimens. Nine primary displays are featured, including 5,645 items of precious cultural relics and 652 items of national first-class cultural relics.

NO.2— Grand Mosque

Hohhot Grand Mosque, built in the 32nd year of Emperor Kangxi's reign in the Qing Dynasty ( 1693 ), is the oldest and largest mosque in Hohhot.

The Hohhot Grand Mosque, situated east and west, is a three-courtyard complex. It has three gates, each with a horizontal plaque reading " Grand Mosque " above it. The gate faces the rear wall of the prayer hall. The main entrance to the prayer hall faces east, with three arches and a small platform in front. Lecture halls flank the north and south sides of the prayer hall. Opposite the prayer hall, a hall to the east features a painted image of the Kaaba in Mecca, offering a place for Muslims to rest before prayers. To the east of the prayer hall is the second courtyard, with a reception room to the north. This courtyard, connected to the platform, is used for festivals and celebrations.

NO.3 —Dazhao, Xiaozhao

Dazhao Temple, whose Chinese name is "Wuliang Temple" and Mongolian name is "Yikezhao", which means "big temple". It is located on the west side of Danan Street, Yuquan District, Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. 

Dazhao Temple, known as "Hongci Temple" in the Ming Dynasty and variously known throughout history as "Silver Buddha Temple," "Mahayana Dharma Wheel Temple," "Kangyur Temple," and "Imperial Temple," is a large Tibetan Buddhist temple. It is the earliest Yellow Sect temple built in Hohhot and one of the largest monasteries built in Mongolia by Mongolian converts to the Yellow Sect, after Meidaizhao Temple. It belongs to the Gelugpa sect (Yellow Sect). It covers an area of ​​approximately 30,000 square meters, of which over 8,000 square meters are built.

Dazhao Temple, facing south from north, features a seven-hall layout. It comprises three courtyards: the Main Court, the East Warehouse, and the West Warehouse. The two warehouses each have their own gates, connecting at their northern ends to form a corridor surrounding the temple. The main axis is composed of the Mountain Gate, the Heavenly King Hall, the Bodhi Hall, the Main Hall, and the Nine-Roomed Tower. Dazhao boasts a rich collection of artifacts, including the "Three Wonders" of Dazhao: the silver Buddha, dragon carvings, and murals. The various painted sculptures within the temple, gilded bronze statues, the massive thangkas unfurled during the Buddha Drying Festival, 108 volumes of the Kangyur, and various ritual implements and masks used in religious ceremonies. These are all invaluable historical relics and artistic treasures. Dazhao witnessed the politically driven spread of Tibetan Buddhism in the Tumed region, the implementation of the theocratic system, and its rise and fall. It also embodies the activities of various figures involved in historical events, holding high historical value.

4. Genghis Khan's Mausoleum

The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan, known in history as the "Eight White Rooms of Genghis Khan", consists of eight movable felt tents. After its completion in the early 13th century, it was moved across the desert. In the mid -15th century, it was settled in Ordos. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was moved to the Bayinchanghug Grassland in Ejin Horo Banner. The magnificent Genghis Khan Mausoleum was completed in 1954 .

The Genghis Khan Mausoleum Tourist Area covers 10 square kilometers, with a controlled area of ​​80 square kilometers. It comprises a historical and cultural area, an intangible cultural heritage protection area, a folk culture area, a grassland sightseeing area, and a leisure and entertainment area, boasting 34 cultural and tourist attractions. The renowned three domed halls of the Mausoleum, resplendent in gold and jade, resemble soaring eagles, overlooking the vast land. The majestic and imposing "Mountain and River Gate" depicts the creation of the world; the towering and magnificent "Iron Horse and Golden Tent" sculptures depict the vast expanse; the thrilling equestrian performances of galloping horses; and the nomadic charm and heartwarming "Ordos Wedding" stage performance. Set amidst the blue skies and white clouds and the forests of felt tents on the Bayinchanghug grassland, the Genghis Khan Mausoleum tour presents a deeply moving and captivating landscape.

NO.5— Prince's Mansion

The Prince's Mansion is located in the southwest of Wangfu Road, Altanshire Town. It was completed in 1936 , the 25th year of the Republic of China. It is a key cultural relic protection unit of the autonomous region and the most complete prince's mansion in western Inner Mongolia. It is one of the top ten tourist attractions in Ordos, covering a total area of ​​2,200 square meters. The building is large-scale and magnificent, integrating Tibetan and Han styles. The overall architectural style fully reflects the ancient architectural art of the Chinese nation.

No. 6— Ordos Museum  

The Ordos Museum, covering 41,227 square meters, features seven exhibition halls, four of which are dedicated to traditional Chinese art. Recognized as an international first-class museum in 2017 , it is a large, comprehensive museum integrating cultural relic collection, preservation, research, exhibition, education, and services. It comprises three sub-divisions: the Ordos Museum, the Ordos Bronze Museum, and the Ordos Revolutionary History Museum.

The new Ordos Bronze Museum was built in March 2010 and officially opened to the public in August 2015. With a total construction area of ​​30,089 square meters, it houses five exhibition halls, two of which are permanent exhibits: "The Long-standing Grassland Civilization" and "The Bronze Empire on Horseback."
