Event Highlights

Beijing Archaeological Site Museum (Jin Zhongdu Water Gate Site) is a thematic site museum built on the Jin Zhongdu Water Gate Site. It is a national third-level museum and a professional archaeological museum that combines underground sites with historical displays.

As of 2019 , the basic exhibition hall of the Beijing Archaeological Site Museum (Jin Zhongdu Water Gate Site) covers an area of ​​1,100 square meters, displaying more than 100 cultural relics from various historical periods. The Liao and Jin Stone Carvings Exhibition Hall has nearly 20 precious stone carvings from the Liao and Jin periods, mainly including Khitan tomb inscriptions from the Liao Dynasty, stone tigers from the Jin Dynasty, stone statues of civil officials, stone statues of military generals, etc.
