Event Highlights

The Beijing Archaeological Site Museum (Jin Zhongdu Water Gate Site) is a specialized site museum built on the site of the Jin Zhongdu Water Gate. It is a national third-level museum and a professional archaeological museum that combines underground sites with historical displays.

As of 2019, the Beijing Archaeological Site Museum (Jin Zhongdu Water Gate Site) has a basic exhibition hall with an area of ​​1,100 square meters, displaying more than 100 cultural relics from various historical periods. The Liao and Jin stone carving exhibition hall has nearly 20 precious stone carvings from the Liao and Jin periods, mainly including Liao Dynasty Khitan epitaphs, Jin Dynasty stone tigers, stone statues of civil officials, and stone statues of military generals.
